Day 98: 1 Samuel 20-21; Psalm 98

Jesus, You are Lord of the Sabbath! As we eat the bread of remembrance this first Sunday of the month in Holy Communion, thank you for the reminder that David ate the sacred bread (1 Samuel 21:6) and that became a lesson for us all (Matthew 12:3-8). You care about our hearts being right over our observing ritual. As You are Lord of the Sabbath, be Lord of our hearts. May we rest in You as we worship You and find ourselves restored and nourished in Your presence. Amen!
