Blessing Our Community - Day 34
DAY 34 -Friday, May 3, 2024
Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
Scripture Insights
Discipleship teacher. Small group leader. Tech/media team. Social media manager. The list of church jobs is never-ending, and it can keep us pretty busy.
Today’s scripture is always my go-to verse when I get caught up in doing the work of the Lord. It is a reminder that each day we are given to live, we have
to sacrifice our own feelings, desires, and wants with the help of our almighty God. These natural tendencies are only able to come under control when we offer ourselves to God in a holy and pleasing way. This means we come with the right spirit and a mindset that honors the Lord.
We can be a blessing to our various communities when we show our everyday living as our true and proper worship. How we live together, how we serve one another, and how we treat others is a representation of our true and proper worship. When we are a living sacrifice in our community, we can show that how we do what we do is just as important as what we do.
Today’s Prayer
Lord, help us to live sacrificially as we submit to your way. We desire to be a blessing in our communities so that your kingdom will come and your will be done as we live in a holy and pleasing way to you.
What is the Spirit saying to you today?
