Blessing Our Community - Day 41
DAY 41 - Friday, May 10, 2024
Philippians 1:6 (ESV)
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to comple- tion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Scripture Insights
Jesus promises the Holy Spirit to his followers in John 14:16: And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. Our biblical Wesleyan doctrine declares that the grace of God through Jesus Christ is freely bestowed upon all people. The Holy Spirit is at work convincing the world of sin and offering the saving grace of Jesus. After a person receives Jesus, sanctification by the Holy Spirit is available to the believer. The Holy Spirit is the faithful companion who sustains us in our growing journey of grace until the day when we will be with Jesus for all eternity. With today’s scripture, the apostle Paul assures all believers that God is working in our lives through the Holy Spirit, completing what Jesus started.
Today’s Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, for your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, how we long to know you better. Please guide us and teach us from God’s Word how to become more Christlike. We thank you for working in our lives to produce the fruit of the Spirit.
What is the Spirit saying to you today?
