Day 147: 2 Chronicles 13-16; Psalm 147
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3, NIV)
"Asa" = Man of Sorrows, Healer; verb: to suffer harm, to heal (Abarim Publications)*
Lord Jesus Christ, Our Wounded Healer, today we bow before You with deep gratitude for everything You endured for us that we might know Your salvation. Beyond that, we thank You that through the Spirit, You bind up the brokenhearted, giving them the oil of joy in the place of mourning, the garments of praise in place of the spirit of heaviness. Today, may we live in Your shalom, Your wholeness and well-being, and may we be instruments of Your peace and healing. In Your Name and for Your sake we ask. Amen.
*King Asa was the fifth descendant of King David (2 Chronicles 15-16)
