Day 162: Nehemiah 10-11; Psalm 12

"The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times." (Psalm 12:6, AMP)
"Your promises [words] are proven [refined], so I, your servant, love them." (Psalm 119:140, EXB)

LORD, in very practical ways, You invite us to 'test' Your word, Your promises (Malachi 3:10). There is truly no need for us to go above and beyond in proving Your promises. We have found that simply to live in Your presence is to witness the truth of the Psalmist's claims. The words of the old hymn ring out: "I have proven Him true. What He says He will do." Thank You that You are, indeed, a God of Your word! Because of this, we live and rest securely in Your promises today and always. Amen!

It is good to be reminded of God does what He says He will do. So much of life is uncertain or untrue. We humans just can't stay out of trouble.

God does keep His Word...and He gives us 'Victory in Jesus'. All thanks be to Him!
