Day 213: Isaiah 31-34; Psalm 42
There are moments, O Lord, when turning our eyes toward the world we live in, we wonder about justice and its twin, righteousness. It seems that evil taunts the truth with its smug lies and convinces those whose foundation is not Jesus Christ that evil is good and that it shall prevail. It pursues its lie with such bold confidence that even in appearance, the evil appears the best option and true freedom lies in embracing it. But, with the Psalmist, our hearts are turned toward You, our longing and desire is for You. We pray Your Kingdom in and believe that though our hearts may be downcast, the hope we place in You will never be thwarted. Indeed, we will see Your salvation in the land of the living. Therefore our hope will be vindicated and our faith become sight, and the God Who is just will judge and set all things right! Thank You that You are faithful and true. You are holy and just. You are victorious!
