Day 180: Job 16-18; Acts 9:1-22

There are few transformations as extreme as that of the apostle Paul (Acts 9:1-22). His zeal was so powerful that he kept moving in expanding geography to pursue and prosecute, i.e., with the authority of the Sanhedrin, Believers in Jesus. Paul tells the Philippians in his own reflection, 'as for zeal, I persecuted the Church' (Philippians 3:6). You see, Jesus stops him in his tracks and calls Paul's prosecution what it is: persecution. What prosecuting persecutors don't realize is that in opposing Believers in Jesus, they are opposing Jesus Himself (but that's another talk).  When Paul encounters Christ, believes, and is filled with the Holy Spirit, he sees life and living for what they truly are. In Christ he owns his past and makes his story, his transformation, the launchpad for sharing the great Good News. Jesus, only Jesus, saves from sin and sets us free to live, really live.

Maybe your Jesus-story is not as dramatic as Paul's, but it must be told for it is worth hearing. And, I can guarantee you that there is someone out there who can identify with your journey and needs to know that Jesus can save them from sin and give them life eternal.
